About Me

Personal Life

Outside of the business world I would say that I am someone who loves to compete, usually in athletics. Now I play for the club team here at Penn State but a while ago I fell in love with the game of lacrosse and find it to be an extremely fun and satisfying hobby. In High School I played for a nationally ranked team and had the opportunity to travel all over the country in order to play.  This is one of the first instances that my competitiveness and devotion really helped me to succeed in such a demanding environment. Being part of a successful but also close knit team I believes helps to instill great values that are useful in both success and failure. While getting the chance to see states like Colorado and California I was able to satisfy another one of my loves which is traveling. I recognize I have been fortunate to visit different places all around the world and I have grown to love experiencing the different cultures and atmospheres all over the globe. When I was younger it may have made me uncomfortable being out of my element however a little diversity helps in preparing you for any challenge.

Professional Life

I have always wanted a job in the financial industry and my personal and educational background instilled in me the skillset I needed to get it. Like I mentioned my background in athletics, the determination and toughness needed for sports, helped me to continuously pursue a job no matter how many rejections I got. I had been interviewed and rejected by many big companies but got a job with Jet.com and worked hard to show them that I belong there. This gritty approach I think will be the deciding factor of whether I have a successful career or not. I believe what you want will never just fall into your lap and so the best way to get it to go out and get it yourself. I have always been a hard worker and ever since my summer job as a caddie I have valued action over talk, no matter how badly you say you want it doesn’t matter, only how much you give for it.
